The main aim of the Centre of Civic Initiatives (CCI) is to
strengthen and develop civic society in Lithuania. According to that
aim CCI:
-
participates in national
and international projects, which promote and develop civic society;
-
creates education
programmes (human rights education, civic development, democratisation
of organisations activities);
-
organises lectures,
seminars, courses, conferences, summer camps, public events;
-
initiates creation,
publishing and distribution of textbooks, training appliances,
teaching programmes and other literature concerning civic society;
-
analyses projects of legal
acts and law in force and provides proposals for their improvement;
-
promotes scientific
research in the field of civic society creation and development;
-
initiates community
building and empowerment;
-
provides methodical
support.
